It’s fully free to sign up. No monthly fee for freelancers. And freelancers can apply for 20 jobs each week which is really great.
2) Elance
Since last year Elance is also owned by oDesk. This website follows some standards of the oDesk website. For the beginner freelancer, it’s a bit less comfortable since to get full access you have to be a paid member, with a free account you can get only 30 connections. When you have to spend 4 connections to apply a featured job. And 4 connections to make your proposal featured. Clients have to pay an extra $30 to make their job post featured.
3) Guru
Guru is also the best place for both freelancers and clients to get jobs done. This marketplace is not fully free. To get full access freelancers gotta have a membership. This website got Top paying clients who are ready to pay higher rates for freelance jobs.
4) People Per Hour
This marketplace’s clients are mostly from the UK. On this website freelancers also can get hired and they can sell their services. Both opportunities is available. The client can post a job or can search for the same service provided by freelancers.
5) 99 Design
This marketplace is different than others. Only available for Designer. Most of the clients of this website are happy to pay a higher rate to get their job done. Bets place for new freelancers to learn design inspired by senior designers. Designers submit their work regarding the client’s needs. clients provide job details and necessary content for the project. Designers submit their work. Only the best designer (Chosen by the client) gets paid.
6) Freelancer
Freelancer is also one of the top freelance market palaces, but less friendly for the Freelancer in my personal opinion. Freelancers have to pay project fees. Their monthly membership plan is also not friendly for freelancers. Rally hard to get a job as a new freelancer.
So I can say from my personal opinion that oDesk and Elance is the best choice for new freelancers.
